Fair questions.
Do I need a website (or website traffic)?
No. IndunAI works entirely on WhatsApp — your customers message
the number you already advertise on your bakkie, your flyers and
your Google profile, so it doesn't need a single website visitor
to earn its keep. If you do have a website, a chat bubble like the
one on this page can be added with one line.
I'm in a regulated industry — I can't have AI giving
advice.
Then don't let it. IndunAI answers only from the business facts
you approve, and you list the no-go topics — anything on that
list gets handed straight to a human, and it never invents an
answer. Its job is taking bookings and messages, not giving
advice: think receptionist, not consultant.
I already answer my WhatsApp myself.
Then you know exactly which messages you lose: the 21:00 ones,
the ones that arrive while you're with a customer, the weekend
ones. IndunAI answers when you can't — and books straight into the
diary so you don't retype details later. You can take over any
conversation yourself, any time, and it steps aside.
Whose WhatsApp number does it answer on?
Your own business number. Customers message the number they
already know and see your business name — nothing changes on
their side, the replies just come instantly.
What does the AI itself cost to run?
Nothing extra. Premium includes all AI usage for up to 125
customer conversations a month — more than most small businesses
see. Go past that and it's R250 for every extra 100 conversations;
the Managed plan has no limit at all. Prefer to run on your own
OpenAI account instead? You can add your own AI key in the
dashboard and pay your provider directly.
What happens when the AI gets something wrong?
The things that matter are checked by software, not trusted to
the AI: appointment slots are verified against your real calendar
before they're offered, prices come only from your own price list,
and invoices are computed server-side. For everything else, you
set the no-go topics and the assistant hands those chats to a human — and
you can step into any conversation yourself.
Where does my customers' data live?
In your own isolated instance in a Johannesburg data centre.
Each business gets its own privacy policy, terms of service and
PAIA manual, generated for your business — see ours in the footer.
How long does setup take?
Your assistant is running minutes after you sign up, with a
starter set of services and hours already loaded for your trade
where we recognise it. Prices and team you add in the dashboard,
or book the free onboarding session that comes with your trial and
we set it up together in about an hour. Your calendar you connect yourself, and your WhatsApp connects itself too: one tap in the dashboard opens Meta's own window, and you can bring your own number or take a new one there in about two minutes.
Can I cancel?
Yes — it's month to month. Your data stays yours, and we'll
hand it over or delete it on request, as the POPIA docs promise.
Will my customers see IndunAI branding?
Only on the free trial: a small “Powered by IndunAI” line on the
chat widget, on the assistant's emails and at the bottom of
invoices. Upgrade to Premium and it disappears automatically —
your customers then see your branding alone.
