The whole price list

One price per business. Not per user, not per seat.

Some suppliers price per user, some price per tier, some publish nothing and quote you on a call. IndunAI is one flat price for the business, whatever the size of your team, and the meter you are billed on is your own Conversations tab.

A conversation is a chat with at least one customer message in a calendar month, the same definition our terms use, counted on your own Conversations tab, so you can verify the number we bill against yourself. And the meter is per conversation, never per message: a forty-message chat that ends in a booking costs one unit. Some suppliers in this market meter per message, so compare the unit before you compare the number. Weighing up suppliers? We keep an honest guide to choosing an AI receptionist in South Africa, including where we are not the right fit.

What the monthly fee covers

The whole receptionist, not a chat widget.

R1 450 is not the price of a chatbot bolted to your website. It is the full front-desk job, on the channels your customers already use, with the admin that follows.

24/7 answering

On WhatsApp and your website, in the same minute, at any hour. It is one conversation across both: nobody is made to start again.

Real calendar bookings

Appointments go into your real calendar, per service and per staff member, and two people can never take the same slot: the server verifies before it books.

Reminders and follow-ups

Appointment reminders, review requests after the job, and a nudge for the conversation that went quiet. Nobody at a desk has to remember.

Quotes and invoices

Prices come only from your own price list and invoices are computed by the server, never made up by the AI.

Marketing drafts

Posts drafted for your approval. Nothing publishes itself.

The customer's own language

The assistant replies in the customer's language, including Afrikaans, isiZulu and isiXhosa, at no extra tier. Text you write yourself, like your opening menu, stays in the language you wrote it.

Your own isolated instance

Your own database in a Johannesburg data centre, with a privacy policy, terms and PAIA manual published in your business's name.

The part other pricing pages skip

Meta's WhatsApp fees are Meta's. We do not mark them up.

If a WhatsApp AI supplier tells you the monthly fee is the whole cost, ask them who pays Meta. WhatsApp Business messaging carries Meta's own per-conversation fees, and every supplier in this market either passes them on or prices them into the package somewhere, so ask which.

Billed by Meta, at Meta's prices

The fees are Meta's, billed under Meta's own pricing model, and they vary by conversation category. You pay Meta what Meta charges, on your own billing, and we help you set that up. We add nothing on top.

We do not quote Meta's rates here

Because they change, and a stale number on a pricing page is a lie with a date on it. Check the current rates on Meta's own pricing page, or read our plain-English guide to WhatsApp Business costs in South Africa.

Webchat has no per-message fee

The chat bubble on your website goes through no Meta rail at all, so those conversations carry no per-message cost, only the monthly fee's conversation count.

When is it not R1 450? When the job goes past the receptionist: a specific workflow, a document your business generates, an agent that files into the CRM your team already uses. That is a custom AI agent build, priced per project, in writing, before anybody starts building.

FAQ

Fair questions about the money.

How much does an AI receptionist cost in South Africa?

IndunAI publishes its full price: R1 450 a month including VAT, which covers AI usage for up to 125 customer conversations a month, and R250 for every extra 100 after that. Done-for-you setup is R2 500 once-off, and the 14-day free trial needs no card. Plenty of suppliers in this market publish no price at all; ours is on this page.

Is there a setup fee?

Only if you want the done-for-you option. Setting up yourself is free: the trial includes a free onboarding session and most owners are answering customers the same day. Done-for-you setup, where we load your services, prices, calendar and house rules for you, is R2 500 once-off.

What counts as a conversation, and what happens after 125?

A conversation is a chat with at least one customer message in a calendar month, the same definition our terms use, and the count comes off your own Conversations tab, so you can verify every unit yourself. Past 125 in a month, extra conversations are R250 per 100. Nothing is cut off mid-chat: a conversation that is already going always gets to finish.

Are WhatsApp's own fees included?

No. Meta bills WhatsApp Business conversation fees itself, under its own pricing model, and they vary by conversation category. Those fees exist whoever you buy from, so ask any supplier how they handle them. We do not mark them up: you pay Meta what Meta charges, on your own billing, and we help you set that up. Webchat on your website has no per-message fee at all.

Is there a contract?

No. It is month to month and you can cancel anytime. The trial takes no card, so it cannot roll into a charge you did not choose: paying is a step you take deliberately, after two weeks of watching it answer your own customers.

When is it not R1 450?

When the job goes past the receptionist. A specific workflow, a document your business generates, an agent that files into the CRM your team already uses: that is a custom AI agent build, priced per project, in writing, before anybody starts building. The receptionist price on this page never changes shape underneath you.

Two weeks free. Then decide with your own numbers.

The trial is 14 days, needs no card, and your assistant is running minutes after you sign up. Watch what it catches on your own number before a rand changes hands.
