AI chatbot company, South Africa
An AI chatbot for your business, on every channel your customers use.
IndunAI builds and runs AI chatbots for South African businesses: one assistant on WhatsApp, in a chat bubble on your website and on your email, set up around your own services, prices and documents. It can book, quote and hand over to your team, and the software checks its work before a customer sees it. Built in Durban.
The bubble in the corner of this page is the product. It is our own IndunAI assistant, answering for us, the same way it would answer on your site.
AI assistant, replies in seconds
Hi, you're chatting with the Example Physio AI assistant. How can I help today?19:05
do u do dry needling and is it covered by medical aid19:06
We do, as part of a 45-minute session. Cover depends on your scheme and plan, so I'll ask the team to confirm yours. Would you like to see times this week?19:06
An illustration with a made-up practice. What the setup covers is answered; what it does not is checked with the team rather than guessed.
One assistant
WhatsApp, website chat and email: one assistant.
Customers do not pick the channel you would like them to. Some message on WhatsApp, some use the chat on your website at 22:00, some still send an email. IndunAI answers all three from one setup, so the prices, the hours, the services and the rules about what goes to a person are written once and are the same everywhere.
On your own business number, with tap buttons, time lists and documents inside the chat. The full detail is on the WhatsApp AI chatbot page.
Website chat
A chat bubble on your site. Tap answers show as chips, forms and links show as buttons, and bookings go into the same calendar as the WhatsApp ones.
It reads your business inbox and answers enquiries by email. Or, if you would rather answer email yourself, it can be set to send reminders and confirmations by email and never reply to one.
On your site
Website AI chatbot and live chat.
A website chatbot earns its place when it answers the question the visitor was about to phone about, and then takes the next step with them. Here is what the one on your site does.
One line to install
The dashboard gives you a single script tag. Paste it into your site, whatever it is built on, and the bubble appears.
Says what it is
The first bubble introduces itself as your business's AI assistant, by name if you give it one. Nobody is led to think they are talking to a person.
Live chat when you want it
Every conversation is in your dashboard as it happens. You can read along, reply yourself, or pause the assistant on that chat and take it over.
Books, not just answers
Times come from your real calendar and the server claims the slot before it confirms it, the same as on WhatsApp.
Your business, not a template
A custom chatbot, trained on your business.
"Trained on your business" gets used loosely, so here is exactly what it means here. Nobody retrains an AI model on your data. Your assistant is set up from your business's own facts, and those facts are put in front of the model on every single reply, which is why a price change you save today is the price it quotes tonight.
Services, prices and hours
What you offer, how long each thing takes, what it costs and when you are open. A price list is sent by the server, word for word, never retyped by the AI.
Your questions and answers
The things customers keep asking, in your own words, plus your standing instructions and the tone you want. A fact that is not there is checked with the team, not invented.
Fill it from your documents
Upload a PDF, Word document or text file, a price list or a brochure, and the dashboard proposes the setup from it. You review it and save; nothing is written without you.
Files it can hand out
Aftercare guides, brochures and forms you approve can be sent in the chat as real files, at the point in the conversation where they are useful.
Each business gets its own isolated instance, hosted in Johannesburg, with its own database and its own privacy notice in the business's name. The AI model that composes the replies runs outside South Africa; how that sits with POPIA is set out on POPIA and AI chatbots.
What changed
Conversational AI vs a button-menu bot.
The older kind of chatbot is a decision tree: press 1 for bookings, press 2 for prices, and anything off the tree gets "sorry, I didn't understand that". Conversational AI reads what the person actually wrote, in the language they wrote it in, spelling mistakes and all.
It understands the sentence
"do u do dry needling and is it covered" is two questions, and both get answered. The reply comes back in the customer's own language, English, Afrikaans or isiZulu among them.
It still uses buttons
Where a tap is quicker than typing, a list of times or a yes or no, the assistant sends buttons. Conversation and buttons are not opposites.
The model proposes, the server verifies
A language model can be confidently wrong, so it is not trusted with the things that matter. Slots, prices and invoice totals are checked or composed by software, and a reply that confirms the wrong day for a booking does not go out as written.
It knows when to stop
You set the topics that go to a person. On a health practice it is designed never to give clinical advice, and a message about self-harm always reaches a human.
How the same assistant handles support across all three channels is on AI customer service.
Chatbot development
Chatbot development: what we build and what we will not.
IndunAI is from R1 450 a month including VAT for the assistant as it is, for up to 300 conversations, plus a once-off R2 500 setup; fully managed, with build items within reason, is R4 995 a month. Most businesses need little beyond it. When a business needs something IndunAI does not already do, we build it, scoped after sign-up and priced per project, and it becomes part of that business's instance.
What we build
Scripted chat flows that start from a menu button and end in recommendations, a form or a hand-over. Qualification funnels, such as one for a business-growth consultancy that interviews a lead and writes them a PDF assessment. Forms the assistant hosts. Hand-overs into a GoHighLevel pipeline. See custom AI development and custom AI agents.
What we will not build
A general-purpose assistant that chats about anything; it has to be about your business. A bot that pretends to be a person. Marketing that posts itself without your approval. A WhatsApp promotion that sends itself: promotions go out as Meta-approved templates, on request, and only when a person presses Send.
What it does not do today
It answers messages, not phone calls. It is not practice management software and does not do medical-aid claims or billing codes.
FAQ
Fair questions.
What is the difference between a chatbot and an AI chatbot?
A traditional chatbot follows a fixed menu of buttons and keywords, and anything off the menu fails. An AI chatbot uses a language model to understand what the customer actually wrote and reply in their own language. IndunAI adds a third part: software that checks the AI's work, so slots, prices and totals come from your real calendar and price list rather than from the model.
Can I put it on my website?
Yes. The dashboard gives you one script tag to paste into your site, and a chat bubble appears that introduces itself as your business's AI assistant. Website chats sit in the same dashboard as WhatsApp ones, and you can reply to any of them yourself.
Does it work with WhatsApp too?
Yes. The same assistant answers on your own WhatsApp Business number, connected through Meta's Embedded Signup window from the dashboard, and on email. WhatsApp's own fees are Meta's and are separate from IndunAI's.
Can it learn from my documents?
Yes, in two ways. You can upload a PDF, Word document or text file and the dashboard proposes your setup from it for you to review and save. And files you approve, such as a price list or an aftercare guide, can be sent to customers in the chat. No AI model is retrained on your documents; your facts are given to the model on every reply.
Chat to it.
The bubble on this page is a live IndunAI assistant. Ask it what a customer of yours would ask, then book a demo and we will show you one set up around your own business.
