AI company, South Africa · Cape Town
AI for Cape Town businesses, demonstrated in your office.
IndunAI is an AI assistant that answers your customers on WhatsApp, website chat and email, in English or Afrikaans, books them into your real calendar and hands the conversation to a person when it should. We build it in Durban and set it up remotely, Cape Town included. The first demo is a video call on your own enquiries. For a project that fits, the next one happens in your office.
The online demo always comes first. You can also try the assistant yourself at /demo, the medical version at /medical, or in the bubble on this page, which is the same assistant answering for us.

An illustration of the pattern. The customer wrote in Afrikaans, so the replies are in Afrikaans. The button that opens the list of times is labelled in English, and typing a time works as well as tapping one.
What we build
What we build for Cape Town businesses.
Nothing about the product changes with the city. A business in Cape Town gets the same assistant, set up the same way, on its own isolated instance in a Johannesburg data centre. It comes in three shapes, and the online demo is where we work out which one fits yours.
An AI receptionist on WhatsApp and your website
It answers the messages that arrive while you are with a client, closed or on the road, on your own WhatsApp number and in a chat bubble on your website, and books into your real calendar: Google Calendar, a CalDAV calendar or GoHighLevel. The server checks that a slot is still free before it is offered and again before it is booked. More on the AI receptionist.
Custom AI agents
For a job the assistant does not do out of the box, such as qualifying leads on your own questions and filing them in GoHighLevel, or a workflow particular to your business. An agent is built on the same engine and scoped with you in writing. See custom AI agents.
For practices and clinics
The medical version says in its first message that it is an AI, is designed never to give clinical advice, can book dependants from the main member's number and sends the practice's own forms before the visit. The live practice demo is at /medical.
From R1 450 a month including VAT for up to 300 conversations, plus a once-off R2 500 setup, covers the assistant as it stands, set up around your business; fully managed is R4 995 a month with setup included. The price is the same in Cape Town as anywhere else. Anything particular to your business that it does not already do is scoped with you in writing after you sign up, an agent that does something IndunAI does not do at all is priced per project, and WhatsApp's own message fees are Meta's and separate.
In English and Afrikaans, from one assistant
The assistant replies in the language each customer writes in, so an Afrikaans message is answered in Afrikaans and an English one in English, and each message stays in one language from the first word to the last. The wording you control yourself, such as the booking confirmation's price line, the cash and medical aid lines and the away notice, has an Afrikaans box beside the English one in the dashboard. You write both, because nothing you write is machine-translated. The opening menu can have an Afrikaans version too, and the customer's first message decides which one they see. On a medical practice, the first message that says it is an AI has an Afrikaans version built in.
The demo
How the demo works: live online first, then in person in Cape Town.
We are based in Durban, so every Cape Town conversation starts online. The online demo is not a warm-up for the real one. It is the real assistant on your own enquiries, and you can decide from it alone. The visit is the second step, for a project that is ready to go.
Step 1: a video demo on your own enquiries
Send us a few real messages your business gets, the ones that arrive after hours or in the middle of a job, and we put them through the live assistant on a video call, set up for your kind of business. You watch it answer, ask its own questions and put the booking into a diary, and you can type at it yourself.
When you book, it helps to tell us four things: what the business does and roughly how big it is, how enquiries reach you now and about how many a week, who signs, and when you would want it live.
Step 2: we come to you for projects that fit
If the online demo shows it fits and you want to go ahead, we come to your office in Cape Town and go through it at your own front desk: your price list, your hours, the questions it should ask before it books, and the WhatsApp number your customers already use.
We agree the date of a visit with you after the online demo. Nothing about setting up needs the visit, so a business that wants to start sooner can go live remotely.
When we come to you
- You have seen the online demo, on your own enquiries
- You are the one who decides: the owner, partner or manager who signs
- You want to start within about a month
That is the whole bar. It is there because the visit is for going ahead, and the online demo is for deciding. Not there yet? Nothing is lost: the online demo stays open to you, and so does the live demo at /demo. When the timing is right, send a WhatsApp and we will agree a date.
Who it fits
Who it fits: practices, clinics, studios, service businesses.
The assistant is for businesses whose customers message before they visit or book. It is set up per trade, so the questions it asks before it books change with the business, and each trade starts from its own template with your own prices.
Medical and dental practices
For GPs, dentists and physiotherapists. It can book a patient's dependants from the main member's number, tells a patient to phone for any service you mark as arranged by phone, and closes the diary on public holidays and on the away dates you set.
Aesthetic and skin clinics
The starting template asks your safety questions, such as pregnancy, prescription skin medication or a recent strong treatment, and the diary stays closed until they are answered. Suitability questions go to your practitioners, and prices come only from your own list.
Salons and studios
Bookings per service and per stylist or artist, a deposit through a PayFast link to hold the slot, your own aftercare guide sent a couple of hours after the appointment, and a review request.
Service businesses
For plumbers, electricians, garden services and the trades that work on site. With real travel-time gaps switched on, it asks for the address before it offers a time on an urgent job. It prepares quotes for you to confirm, and raises the job's invoice when you mark the job done.
Where it does not fit yet: it answers messages, not phone calls, so a business whose customers only ever ring is not the right match today. It is also not practice management software, and it does no medical aid claims, billing codes or ICD-10 coding. It books and answers beside the system you already run, which is covered in practice management software or an AI receptionist.
Hosting and POPIA
Hosted in Johannesburg, POPIA-first.
The hosting is the same for a Cape Town business as for everyone else, and it is written down rather than implied. This is what it means in practice.
Your own instance
Each business runs on its own isolated instance in a Johannesburg data centre, with its own database, so your customers' conversations are never in a shared pool with anybody else's.
The offshore leg, named
Records are hosted in Johannesburg, and the AI provider that reads the messages and writes the replies is outside South Africa. On our provider account that is OpenAI, in the United States, as each client's own privacy policy names it, and its API terms provide that content sent through the API is not used to train their models. On a client's own AI key, that provider's terms apply instead.
Notices in your name
Each instance publishes its own privacy policy, terms and PAIA manual in your business's name, and they name the AI provider rather than leaving it out.
Erasure from your dashboard
When somebody asks to be forgotten, you can honour it from your own dashboard. The erasure follows the person rather than one thread, removes the calendar entries it made, and the receipt says what was really removed.
We do not claim POPIA compliance on your behalf, because that depends on how your business uses the assistant as well as on how we built it. What we can do is put the parts that are ours in writing. More in POPIA and AI chatbots, and for practices, POPIA for medical practices.
FAQ
Fair questions.
Do you come to Cape Town?
Yes, for projects that fit. Every Cape Town conversation starts with the online demo, a video call on your own enquiries. If it fits and the person who decides wants to start within about a month, we travel down from Durban and go through it in your office. Nothing about setting up needs the visit, so you can also go live without one.
How do I get an in-person visit?
Book the online demo first, because it comes first for everyone. The visit is for a decision-maker who has seen it and wants to start within about a month. We agree the date with you after the online demo. When you are ready, ask for it on WhatsApp at +27 69 235 0986.
Can we start without meeting?
Yes. Your WhatsApp number is connected in Meta's own window from the dashboard, by the person who runs the business on Facebook, the website chat is one line of code, and your services, prices and hours can be drafted from your price list or website for you to check before anything is saved. The rest is done with you over WhatsApp, email and video.
Where is our data hosted?
In your own isolated instance in a Johannesburg data centre, with its own database and its own privacy policy, terms and PAIA manual in your business's name. The AI provider that reads the messages and writes the replies is outside South Africa: on our provider account that is OpenAI, in the United States, and its API terms provide that content sent through the API is not used to train their models. On a client's own AI key, that provider's terms apply instead, so we do not claim the data never leaves the country.
Does it answer in Afrikaans?
Yes. It replies in the language the customer writes in, so an Afrikaans message gets an Afrikaans reply, and each message stays in one language. The set wording you control, like the confirmation's price line or your away notice, has an Afrikaans box beside the English one in the dashboard, and you write both, because nothing you write is machine-translated. The opening menu can have an Afrikaans version as well.
What does it cost?
The same as anywhere in the country: R1 450 a month including VAT for up to 300 conversations, or R2 250 a month for 300 to 500, plus a once-off R2 500 setup, covers the assistant as it stands, set up around your business. The Managed plan is R4 995 a month with setup included, 2,000 conversations a month and build items you ask for within reason. Anything particular to your business that it does not already do is scoped with you in writing after you sign up, and an agent that does something IndunAI does not do at all is priced per project. WhatsApp's own message fees are Meta's and separate.
Book the online demo.
Send a WhatsApp with what your business does and a few of the enquiries you would like to see it answer. The online demo comes first, and if the project fits, the next conversation happens in your office in Cape Town.
